Replay Value

Guts and Glory is a somewhat crazy game that proves driving simulators don’t have to revolve around racing to be fun. You can download Guts and Glory for PC and gaming consoles from the game’s page on

Graphics 3/5

Guts and Glory relies on visuals a lot to provide all the entertainment and fun it promises. Of course, this doesn’t mean that it has to have super textured and realistic graphics, but some more attention to detail would’ve been nice. Also, expect to see a lot of blood and gore any time your vehicle collides with something. While this could make the game more entertaining for some people, it also means that Guts and Glory is not suitable for younger players.

Gameplay 3/5

Guts and Glory is the kind of game that can get frustrating very fast, and some of this frustration actually comes from the controls. You always need to be super precise and careful when steering the vehicles, and even that does not guarantee that you won’t crash into something through no fault of yours. Also, the FPS drops sometimes get so drastic it is impossible to keep steering the vehicle, which inevitably results in a crash and most likely having to start over.

Fortunately, just about every Guts and Glory review on YouTube shows that the game is fun enough to keep turning a blind eye on both these shortcomings, especially when playing with friends. The visual effects accompanying the crashes do make the game more entertaining, and beating a difficult level feels very rewarding.

Compatibility and Requirements 3/5

Guts and Glory is not available on mobile devices, but it was released for the Nintendo Switch in 2019. This means you can play the game on the go, but be prepared to deal with FPS drops and the absence of the level designer - a very cool feature that can make Guts and Glory a lot more fun and replayable.

  • OS: Windows 7 and up
  • Free Disk Space: 6 GB
  • Processor: 2 GHz Dual Core
  • Memory: 2 GB RAM

Guts and Glory Is Fun, but Far from Perfect

Some games are solid performers when it comes to just about any gameplay aspect, but Guts and Glory is not one of them. The game does have a lot of potentials, and there is hope that the developers will continue to work on it, but the way it is today, don’t download Guts and Glory if you’re not willing to tolerate the awkward controls and inevitable FPS drops.

  • Controls could use some improvement;
  • No level editor on the Switch;
  • Lags are too frequent to be negligible.

  • Fun driving game that’s not about racing;
  • Multiple characters with unique features and vehicles;
  • Virtually unlimited replayability thanks to the level editor.
